Flat Roof Replacement Service

Replacement service is done by full tear-off to the surface of the structural roof deck that usually starts by the removal of all the existing roof materials to the top surface of the structural roof deck. There is certainly a cost associated with a "tear-off," however; this system provides the longest projected service life.

This roof system gives the advantages of being able to inspect, as well as make any repairs needed to the structural roof deck to ensure that there is no possible negative impact upon the new materials that may be associated with leaving a deteriorating existing roof deck in place.

The process is only gone through if there is no chance of inclement weather. Furthermore, during the process, we only remove as much of the existing roof as we can make it watertight again by the end of the day. If a consumer has a flat roof, they will ultimately choose from the four major product groups: Conventional Built-Up, Modified Bitumen Built-Up (SBS), Thermoplastic Single-Ply (TPO), and Thermoset Single-Ply (EPDM).

Metal building owners have the option of Elastomeric Liquid Systems as well. It is likely that the consumer will do some research on each of the groups, depending upon the specifics of their structure and plans for use of the roof area. For example, if they have a metal roof deck, it is likely that they will want a lightweight system. On the other hand, if they have a substantial presence of equipment mounted above and through the roof, they will look for a system that is thick, durable, and puncture resistant. We are able to, and would be happy to supply consumers with information that comes from the industry's most respected sources, as well as the major manufacturers, to help make an informed system selection.

We include photographs in our proposals, showing the various steps associated with installing the systems listed above. We also incorporate cross-section sketches that illustrate the components that make up each system. We provide narrated video documentation when applicable so that building owners and decision makers can have a clear understanding in the needs of their roof without ever stepping foot on a ladder.

Roof Recovery Service

A Recovery System is what we call a second roof installed on top of an existing one. There are key specifications that need to be addressed in the design of a successful long-term recovery system.

These include the ability of the structure to handle the additional dead-load, as well as the crucial need to be sure that no existing moisture in the system is trapped.

A full moisture scan of the existing materials can be performed by us to ensure that the existing roof is a suitable substrate for the new materials. After the existing roo has been checked for moisture, any surfacing is removed and a layer of insulation is attached through the existing roof and directly into the structural roof deck. At this point, there are a number of options available as for what a consumer can use as the roofing and waterproofing layers. Like in a replacement system, the consumer will have to choose from the four major product groups: Conventional Built-Up, Modified Bitumen Built-Up, Thermoplstic Single-Ply, and Thermoset Single-Ply.

Roof Restoration Service

The Restoration System gives building owners the opportunity to extend the lives of their existing roofs using Liquid Elastomeric Coating.

Applied with a combination of spray equipment, squeegees and rollers, these sophisticated elastomeric products work with the dynamics of the existing roofing system. These products can be applied with polyester reinforcement at the critical transitions and details to provide renewable ten year guaranteed life cycles of dependable waterproofing and protection. A Restoration System can thus provide a savings of over 60%, compared to a complete "tear-off".

Roof Repair Service

There are three main types of repairs that can be performed on roofing systems:

A direct response to a leak that is meant to relieve an immediate problem is called an Emergency Repair,
If a consumer would like to extend the life of the roof for a relatively short period of time while a re-roofing budget and specification can be developed, they would want a Temporary Repair,
If a consumer would like to extend the remaining life of the roof, they would want a Pre-emptive Maintenance/Repair.
